Musa R. Hussain, CFA

Mr. Musa Hussain, the Founder and Chairman of Starbridge, is a senior investment banker, investment manager, financial manager and strategy advisor. Musa has over 23 years of experience working at key positions in holding companies, family offices, investment banks and advisory firms. During the course of his career, he has accumulated vast experience in corporate and financial restructurings, debt arranging and advisory, arranging of public and private equity capital, mergers and acquisitions, structured finance, valuations, and business strategy and planning.

Mr. Musa has previously held the position of Chief Financial & Investment Officer at the family office of one of the most prominent families in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia where he oversaw all financial and investments related matters. He managed the financial matters of all group Companies in and outside Saudi Arabia. He was also actively involved in the financial and legal restructuring of some of the group companies, sale of various private equity and secondary market fund investments, financial and legal structuring of real estate development projects, closure and liquidation of discontinuing businesses, arranging of loans from banks, and overall wealth and portfolio management.

Previously, he was Group Chief Financial Officer with Nasir Al Maiman Group (Jeddah & Makkah, Saudi Arabia), a group of companies involved in real estate development, hospitality, food production, farming, and industrial sector. He was involved in arranging financing for new projects, restructuring of existing bank facilities, implementation of improved financial reporting systems, negotiations with potential partners and investors in the Group’s new businesses and projects. He also managed the investment portfolio of the family.

Earlier, he worked as Chief Executive Officer of Integration Capital (Riyadh and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia), an investment banking company licensed by the Saudi Arabian Capital Market Authority to provide advisory and arranging services. He turned the company from a failing business into a profitable and prominent financial advisory business in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia. He directly oversaw all functions including arranging of debt and equity capital, loan restructurings, mergers and acquisitions advisory, valuations, strategy studies, business plans, feasibility studies, and cash flows models. 

Prior to that he worked with Al Khabeer Capital (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain) as Director, Investment banking, and was head of the equity capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and project & structured finance divisions. Musa is one of the founding members of Al Khabeer and was actively involved in its rise from a financial consulting office into a prominent investment bank in Saudi Arabia. He worked on a large number of transactions and assignments involving equity private placements, arranging of loans for clients, structuring advisory to banks on securitizations, mergers and acquisitions advisory, corporate restructuring and spinoffs, company valuations, business plans and strategy studies. He also oversaw, from acquisition to exit, a private equity transaction in the logistics sector.

His previous positions include working as: Deputy Director of Corporate Finance at Al Dukheil Financial Group (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia); Senior Associate, Corporate Finance, and Senior Investment Analyst, at Aqeel Kareem Dhedhi Securities (Pakistan); Senior Investment Analyst at ABN Amro Equities (Pakistan & Hong Kong); Senior Investment Analyst at National Investment Trust (Pakistan); and PACRA (Pakistan), an affiliate of Fitch Ratings.

Musa has an MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago, USA. He is CFA Charter-holder from the CFA Institute, USA.

Mohammed Jameel Saharty

Mr. Mohammed Jameel Saharty, a Partner at Starbridge, is a seasoned business and management professional with over 21years of professional experience in management consultancy, project management, marketing, public relations, and corporate communications. His area of specialization includes organizational sustainability, strategy and organizational planning for public and private sector entities, and corporate social responsibility.

Prior to joining Starbridge, was the Founder & Managing Director of Al Moqaddima Financial & Management, which subsequently merged with Starbridge Advisory. Prior to that, he worked as Senior Projects Manager at Strategic Sustainability Solutions (3S) where he participated in a wide of consultancy assignments for various government ministries and departments.

Earlier, worked as Former Senior Projects Manager at Jadat Alitqan Consulting and Senior Marketing Manager at Bank Al Jazira. He started his career with National Commercial Bank (NCB) where he worked for around 11 years at various positions in the Retail Banking & Investment Banking Services.

Mohammed holds a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Business & Technology.

Akram El Zuheiri

Mr. Akram Zuheiri, a Partner at Starbridge, is a highly seasoned and accomplished professional with senior executive management experience in pharmaceuticals, medical testing, manufacturing, telecom, and management consulting.

Akram has over 25 years in the pharmaceutical and medical testing industry. He was a co‐founder of Integrated Pharma Solutions (IPS) building a network of manufacturing facilities across the MENA region as well as diagnostics and personalized medicine by offering oncology and cardiology molecular tests. He was also involved in trading & distributing pharmaceutical products, representing multinational companies, and providing them with market access and business development.

As the first employee of Sanofi Aventis Near East & Iraq, he built their business “close to 300 people” over 13 years and “sales of USD 130 million”. He established good relationships on their behalf within complex pharmaceutical business environments as well as with the Minister of Health & governmental bodies.

For 18 years prior to a career in the pharma and medical industry, he was a key person in building the business of Ciment De Sibling, a leading manufacturer of cement and clinkers in Lebanon with a capital of USD 80 million. He was also involved in a convertible bond issue of USD 20 million to finance part of the expansion of production facilities. Moreover, he was also involved in the establishment of Oger Telecom South Africa, an investment of Oger Telecom.

In addition to his success in the private sector, he was appointed by Prime Minister Rafic Hariri and the Lebanese Government as a Member of the Advisory Board at the Investment Development Authority for Lebanon (IDAL). He is the Founder and President of the National Cancer Association in Lebanon acting as the president of NCA. He is a Founder and Member of the Young Arab Leader organization.

Akram holds an Executive MBA from the Management Centre of Europe, a Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Universite St. Joseph, and a BE in Civil Engineering from the American University of Beirut.

Mr Ibrahim

Ibrahim Al-Rawi, CPA, SOCPA

Mr. Ibrahim Al-Rawi has over 14 years of work experience in the areas of auditing, accounting and finance. At Starbridge, Ibrahim is Senior Vice-President in the Financial Advisory division and has worked on a range of assignments including financial modelling, feasibility studies, and calculation of expected credit loss as per IFRS requirements.

Ibrahim’s past experience includes working as chief accountant of a publicly listed company and head of finance for a business group. From 2010 to 2014, Ibrahim worked as auditor in the Assurance department of Ernst & Young (EY), Saudi Arabia, where he carried out external audit of entities in various sectors including trading, construction, energy, hospitality, manufacturing and media sectors. Prior to that he worked with El Sayed El Ayouty & Company, Saudi Arabia, as an external auditor. Ibrahim started his career as an external auditor with Dr. Mohammed Fida Bahjatt CPAs & Consultants.

Ibrahim is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) of the State of New Hampshire and an associate of the Saudi Organization for certified Public Accountants (SOCPA). Ibrahim has a Bachelor of Accounting degree from Umm Al Qura University, Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

Ahad Tariq Hameed, ACCA

Mr. Ahad Tariq Hameed, senior vice president at Starbridge, is a senior banker and finance professional with over 14 years of experience in financial advisory, corporate banking, risk management, wealth management, and financial management. During the course of his career, he has worked on a large number of advisory and consulting assignments and participated in the execution of various debt and equity arranging transactions. Ahad has considerable experience in carrying out valuations of companies including: valuations of minority and majority interests commissioned by the sell-side or buy-side in various types of acquisitions; valuations to determine swap ratios in mergers; valuations of block trades in the shares of publicly listed companies; and valuations of available for sale investments as per IFRS 9.

Previously, Ahad worked with United Bank Limited, Pakistan, as Senior Risk Analyst in the Corporate Banking Division. He was involved in the risk analysis of a large number of corporate and institutional clients for trade and project financing covering industries such as energy, agriculture, textile, steel, and electronics. Earlier, he worked as Relationship Manager in the Corporate Banking Group of United Bank Limited. He joined the bank as Relationship Manager in the Wealth Management Division where he managed portfolios of High Net-worth Clients and advised them on investment avenues. Earlier, he worked with Bank Alfalah, Pakistan, as Relationship Manager in the Corporate Banking Division. He started his career as Senior Associate with PepsiCo International (PVT.) Limited, Pakistan, in the Finance Division. 

Ahad is an Associate Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, United Kingdom. He has a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Pakistan, and a BCS (Honors) degree from the Oxford Brooks University, United Kingdom.

Hasan Karnib, CFA

Mr. Hasan Karnib is the Head of Business Development and Placements at Starbridge with over six (6) years of experience in financial advisory, corporate, banking, and real estate sectors.

Prior to joining Starbridge, he was an AML Compliance Officer in the due diligence and transaction monitoring unit at Lebanese Swiss Bank, Lebanon, where he acquired a different perspective in analyzing cases at hand. He also worked in retail and corporate credit, and was engaged in dealing with private clients. He has also worked as a financial analyst at Al Moqaddima Financial and Management Advisory, Saudi Arabia, where he was responsible for M&A transactions, business valuation, financial modeling, and market analysis.

His assignments were mainly focused in the real estate, hospitality, retail, and apparel sectors. Mr. Hasan is passionate about investing which led him to earn his CFA Charter holder. He is also a holder of bachelor degree in finance.

Sardar Muhammad Ali Khan, CAF

A knack for translating business ideas into quantifiable and workable business solutions is a precious art form. This talent, when amalgamated with a decade of diverse experience of Financial Modelling, Business Planning, Business Valuation, Strategic Finance Research, Financial Product Development and Internal and External Audit turn a professional like Mr. Sardar Muhammad Ali Khan into are intellectual asset. 

Prior to joining Starbridge Capital as a financial modelling expert, he has been running the internal audit function of the associated businesses of Beaconhouse, the largest chain of Educational Institutes of Asia. Earlier in his career, he has led multiple assignments of Financial Modelling, Business Due Diligence & Valuation, SOP Development, Budgeting & Budgetary Control and Transaction Advisory all over Pakistan under the umbrella of Grant Thornton Pakistan. With over eleven (11) years of work experience, this fusion of skill and experience in FMCG, Renewable and Non-Renewable Energy, Micro-finance, Agriculture, Construction and Services sectors has transformed him from an accounting and finance worker bee into a valuable financial advisor and investment banker.

Mr. Ali is affiliated with Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan through Certificate of Accounting and Finance (CA-Finalist) and has a Bachelors Degree in Economics & Journalism from the University of the Punjab, Pakistan. He has taken Computer Practical Training Courses and Presentation Skills Training Courses from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and Advanced Training for Customer Services from The Resource Group TRG-Pakistan.

Eng. Ahmad R. Majari

Mr. Ahmad Majari is a vice-president at Starbridge Advisory with over 7 years of experience in business planning, financial modelling, budgeting, and valuations.

In his career with Starbridge, he prepared numerous assignments which include business plans, valuation models and reports, market studies, and feasibility studies. In addition to that, he is involved in a number of ongoing mergers & acquisitions deals (M&A). Prior to that, he has worked for Caravan Capital, a financial advisory and investment banking company. In his position as a financial analyst, he was delegated various assignments such as preparing reports for business plans, valuations, market studies, and feasibility studies that were concentrated and not limited to projects in the middle east. Earlier, he worked with Khatib & Alami as an assistant project management consultant where he was involved in various projects including ABC Verdun and Rive Gauche.

Mr. Ahmad Majari holds a masters of business administration (MBA) from the Lebanese American University. He also holds a bachelor of mechanical engineering (BE). He is currently at an advanced stage of pursuing the Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Marium Mazhar, ACA

Ms. Marium Mazhar is a finance and auditing professional with over six years of experience gained through working with chartered accountant and financial advisory firms. Her areas of specialization include financial reporting, internal/external auditing, building financial models, and taxation for the manufacturing companies, service sectors, educational institutions, real estate companies, trade industry, healthcare, banking and insurance companies. Her most recent assignments include development of financial model and valuation of a fashion brand in KSA that has various outlets across the kingdom, and preparation of a feasibility study for real estate project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. 

Her previous positions include Financial Analyst in Al Moqaddima Financial & Management Advisory (Saudi Arabia) and Audit Senior in Husain Shabbir & Co. Chartered Accountants (India). Her responsibilities included preparation of financial models, data pack and cash flow model at group level, assisting in the valuations and auditing/assurance & financial reporting of manufacturing companies, service sectors, educational institutions, real estate companies, trade industry, healthcare, banking and insurance companies as per the GAAP and also executed tax audits under income tax act and vat act. Other experience includes inventory/fixed asset counts, internal control testing and various certifications. 

Marium is a Chartered Accountant and an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), a B.Com in Accounting and Finance from the Barkatullah University, India and pursuing online IFRS Certification course from ACCA, UK.

Georges Hayek

Mr. Georges Hayek is a finance and investments professional with expertise in financial analysis and marketing of financial services. Georges is currently working as a Manager in the Business Development & Placements Division.

Prior to joining Starbridge, Georges worked in the telecommunication sector with Alfa Telecommunications for a period of more than 4 years as part of the sales & marketing team. He attended several internal trainings like Sales Techniques, Communication Skills, and Telephone Skills. 

Georges holds a bachelor degree in Business Administration (BA) specialized in Banking & Finance from Antonine University. He is currently preparing for the level 1 exam of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program. His short term goal is to succeed in his current job role in Marketing & Development and get more into deep in financial advisory firms while his long-term goal is having a CFA charter.

Mira Al Sheikh

Ms. Mira Al Sheikh, a financial analyst with a degree in business administration banking and finance is a highly skilled and experienced analyst and has participated in a number of advisory assignments including valuations, feasibility studies, business plans, and market studies. Mira has worked for the banking and corporate sector.

Her areas of expertise include financial analysis, financial modelling, business planning and industry analysis. Some of her experience was acquired while working at large financial institutions like Blom Bank and Bank al Baraka in Lebanon. She has also worked on a large number of assignments for companies in the real estate, hospitality, retail and apparel sectors.  

Mira has Bachelor degree in Business Administration, with a major in banking and finance, from the Lebanese International University.

Riwa Chanouha

Ms. Riwa Chanouha is a Manager in the Business Development and Placements team at Starbridge. She is involved in digital and social media marketing and development, carrying out of market studies and preparation of business plans, feasibility studies and valuation reports.

Prior to her joining, Riwa has over 5 years of experience as a health management consultant working at one of the leading medical centers in Beirut where she provided consults both nationally and internationally, and was responsible for the professional training and preceptorship of interns at the theoretical and practical levels focusing their practice on marketing and management. She was also a program developer at Reach Academy part of Rise Holding Group in Toronto, Canada where she remotely developed a nutrition training program for students, interns and graduates wishing to have a real-life and on-the-job experience within the field. Having completed her MBA, she joined Starbridge with the aim of further developing her experience in strategic and digital marketing while focusing on business development as part of the firm’s consultancy and advisory services.

Riwa holds an MBA degree from the Lebanese American University in Beirut in addition to a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from the American University of Beirut, and an RDN Registration from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in the U.S.
